Sigh..

7 Dec

Tired and in pain.. I’m reminded of this saying of al-Hasan al-Basree rahimahullaah: “People are the same in health but when hardship befalls they show distinction.”

May Allaah increase us in sabr.

Sometimes you’re so close to giving up, and thats when something hits you and you get up, carrying on stronger than before. But one thing that frustrates me is when people say, “be patient..” and with that they expect you to simply forget about the pain (whether emotional or physical) you’re going through. That’s not patience. You can’t not feel hurt when you’re hurting. But you can practice patience by accepting the decree of Allaah and placing your trust in Him. Patience does not eliminate pain, which is why the one who practices patience is so dear to Allaah but it makes bearing it more pleasurable.. wAllaahu a`lam.

    Assalaamu ‘Aleyki Yaa Ukhtaah

May Allaah ease your pains and keep you firm on this path. when it hurt most, thats when you taste the sweetness of imaan if you keep holding on. And remember how the stories of the anbiyaa’ and their followers, the help always came when it looked darkest, just when you think “it cant get worse” expect the help to arrive. Ibraheem as,Allaah helped him just when it got to the last point, yunus as, yaqoub, nooh Muhammad saws and you know the stories. Alhamdulillah that Allaah chose us to feel this pain bcuz that way you realize how weak you are and how much you really need Allaah Subhanahu Wa Ta’aala.. what the whole dunya is about and what others have been thru for so long.

i ask Allaah to keep you firm and strong and that you keep holding on to the hot coal even if its burning your skin. its temporary dear sis..one day it will all be over..

    Fee Amaanillaah

wa`alayki assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh,

BaarakAllaahu feeki for your kind words (L). It is temporary indeed. The hope that the end may be better than this, is what keeps one going..

Asalam alaikum warahmatullah, May He reward you for your patience and allow your pain to be an expiation for your sins, ameen. There’s a saying that people are like oranges…you find out what they are made of when they are squeezed. You’re full of good juice and inshaAllah you can will be able to persevere through all the trials you go through.

    (much love and hugs) =)
